Welcome to  Greater Refuge Temple's Website. We are a loving Apostolic Church where Jesus is the Center of our Services.  We have been in the Charleston Area for over 95 years.  We have seen the area change and have been an active part of the community.

Our Pastor, Apostle Walter L. Jackson is affectionately known as "the Free Lunch Man".  It is our desire to have all who would come to come and be a apart of the many activities that the church have to offer.  Even though we are utilizing a new platform along with the traditional platform, we are steadily moving ahead.  It is our mission to continue to be an agent to help to add souls to the Kingdom through the preaching and teaching of God's word; through the training of workers for the vineyard and through showing the Love of Jesus to all who come.

During these unprecedented times services are scheduled to continue to meet the need.  The doors of the church have never been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.  We followed the guidelines and pared down the number of attendees  and have kept our facilities sanitized and followed all CDC  guidelines to keep everyone safe.  We are still in compliance as we enjoy praising the Lord !
